Buncrana and surrounding area
Buncrana is scenically set on the shore of Lough Swilly and is Inishowen's largest town, known as the Gateway to Inishowen. Buncrana effortlessly mixes an historical and natural beauty with all the urban delights required for the weary or seasoned traveller.
Why not take a stroll along the Main Street, into Ardaravan Square which offers specialist boutiques, general stores, jewellers, florists, beauty and hair salons, delicatessens, bistros and bars, there is something to satisfy the shopaholic in everyone.
Radiating out from the main street and the town centre, there are a number of commercial and artistic areas, incorporating business parks, retail parks and local galleries.
At the foot of the town, you will be lead around to the wild beauty of the Buncrana shore line. Buncrana is packed with activities for families or outdoor types with a beautiful beach and river, idea for walking, swimming, angling, and canoeing.
There is an excellent children's playground, adventure centre and a public swimming pool, leisure centre and a cinema.
